What I do
Research
I have a BS in History with a focus on the social culture of foodways. I read historic cookbooks like literature and have a soft spot for humorous phrases used to describe food.
Living History
I’m passionate about first person interpretation and reaching for that golden ring of historical accuracy in every detail. I have reenacted for over 14 years, and have a closet of historical gear that spans from 1CE to 1950.
Cooking
One of my favorite ways to “level up” an impressions is through food. We all have to eat right? So why not make the effort to eat “right” for the era we are representing?
